My Jack

Jack is such a stinker anymore. The boy lives off of crackers and milk. Fruits? Vegetables? Meat? Nah, why would a child want to eat that when you can have crackers? See here comes the dilemma ..... Jack has always been on the smaller size when it comes to his weight (he has always been in the 10% for weight, 20% for height and like the 97% for his head.... and I am not exaggerating with his head size) so when he refuses to eat I feel bad. He at least drinks a lot of milk so that is good. But it ends up at some point he will get crackers.
There is something more than crackers Jack will eat.... sugar. Ugh... This boy loves anything sugar. Cookies, cake, pudding, yogurt. I can't eat yogurt around him. Mom came over and brought lunch with her. She brought pudding cups.... Jack was in love (with the pudding cups... he has always loved my mom but now he is in love with pudding cups). Sugar that he can put in his mouth himself with a spoon??? Life is good.

Doesn't she look so big here? Does anyone know how I can keep them young but at the same time break them of the whine? If you do let me know

The MoMfia.....

So I am back from New Orleans and almost caught up on my sleep. When I was down there I got a nasty cold and it is still lingering. I had such a wonderful time while I was there. The trip started out a little shaky, Stacy picked me up and we went to the airport. Once we got to the airport she realized that she could not find her phone and it turns out that when she picked me up she dropped her phone in my driveway and ran it over.... uh-oh. Then I ended up leaving my phone at security but luckily Stacy found it so between the two of us at least we had one phone. That was the end of the bad luck though. I was bumped to first class on the plane, that was lovely :) . For the trip we all had shirts made that had something written on it about the MoMfia (that is the nickname of our group.... yes we are dorks) but here is the back of my shirt
Yes, I laugh at your one baby:

We were on a swamp tour and here is the group of ladies who went on that tour, this was about 80% of us

While we were on the swamp tour I was going to be brave and hold the gator. Well I held it but was so not brave. I held it and started yelling "take it, take it, take it!" referring both to my picture and the scary, scary gator with his mouth clamped shut.

There was a 3 year old little girl on our tour who held the gator and kissed it and then there was me a 32 year old mother who was literally freaking out. Oh well!
Here is a bunch of us before we went to the St. Patty's Day Parade

I got back on Sunday and I still miss it. On Monday morning I was so excited to see my kids and was just waiting for them to wake up. I heard Bella "talking" and I started crying because it had been so long that I had seen them. Yeah, they could have cared less... they just wanted pancakes. Stinkers!

Some quick pictures of the kids because I know that is what you all want :)
here are some of them after their bath the one day

I'm leaving on a jet plane.....

When I got pregnant and found out I was having twins just about every emotion ran through head. Excited, scared, worried, alone, proud, you name it and I probably felt it. I then found an online message board made up of MoMs (Moms of Multiples). I honestly do not know how I would have made it through my pregnancy and the first year and a half without them, I owe them my sanity. From tips on how to deal with two colicy babies at once to encouragement through all the sleepless nights. Someone I "knew" had been through it and helped me get through it myself. The board is a close-knit group of about 100 or so women. Together we have been through it all, the good and the bad. Well anyway in about 5 hours one of these amazing women is picking me up and we are then going to the airport to leave for New Orleans!! This is our first national get together. I have met some of the other local ladies but nothing like this. I can not express how excited I am... for goodness sake I have been up since 4 am because I have been so excited, I am like a kid at Christmas time. Jason will be home with the kids (thanks hon!) and I will be home on Sunday! 4 days without having to wipe a runny nose, or change a diaper, no whining.... of course that means 4 days without kisses and hugs. I will have to wear real clothes, no sweats... I think I can handle it though. I am a Mom of Multiples, I can handle anything!

Brusha, brusha, brusha....

For some reason these two love to brush their teeth. They have loved it from the start. Bella laughs when you brush her front teeth, it is like I am tickling her or something. I brush their teeth and then we let them "brush" their teeth for awhile. Well they took it too rough and I had to stop them from that because they would actually end up with bristles between their teeth. They are getting more teeth in so I think that they chew on them. Anyway the big fight now is when we are done brushing their teeth... Jack will literally go into a 45 minute tantrum.
Any way here they are brushing away:

Speaking of tantrums.... will someone please tell my children that they are only 1 and are not able to have tantrums yet. My goodness these two can yell and carry on when they want to, or if Jack touches Bella's toy, or if you don't give Jack 10 cookies at once, or a myriad of other things that send them into the dreaded tantrum.... right now I guess it isn't too bad because they only do this at home. We will see how I feel about this the first time they do it in public.
Here is Bella in the throes of one of her tantrums (yes, I am such a good mommy that I take pictures instead of consoling her)

then she gets really bendy and bends forward at the waist and sobs into the floor

Jack doesn't know why she is doing this either

but don't worry he'll get in her face to check

Oh well, through it all they are really good kids and I really can not complain (too much)

It's double the giggles and double the grins,
and double the trouble if you're blessed with twins.

They both love to "read" and will bring a book to you to read to them. It is the best when you are sitting on the floor and one of them will come up to you sit on your lap and just nestle in for you to read to them. They will at times fight over who sits there but then you just adjust them so they both fit

**oh I and I promise I do put clothes on my kids! In the morning and in the evening I let them run around in their diapers for a bit and they love it
____
Yo Gabba Gabba!!
This is their favorite TV show. It is like Heaven on Earth for me... a half hour where I can get some things done. I was never going to be "that mom" who had their kids watch TV but now I just love when 1:00 comes around and Yo Gabba Gabba comes on the TV. It really is quite a crazy show. Here is a picture of all of the characters

DJ Lance Rock is the guy in the middle in the awesome orange outfit. Well one day I saw the toy that we just had to have.... the DJ Lance Hat and Glasses that plays music! Oh the exciting times in the house. When it arrived in the mail I put it on and got the kids up from their naps. Well I may have scarred Bella for life. She is still afraid of the hat. Jack loves it and now wears the hat. When I first got it he was iffy about it but here are some pictures of my little DJ Jack

and for your viewing pleasure you can now see how I scarred Bella
