Princess Bella

We have several Disney Princess costumes and I am surprised at how much Bella likes to wear them (Jack does too... but I don't have any pictures of that. Jason thinks we need to spend more time around boys).

Arielle (from the Little Mermaid... this is her wedding dress)

The dress is still a bit big

She decided she needed her DJ Lance hat and glasses on ... she is such a ragamuffin

Here are my two along with the two little girls that I watch.... we were taking a break and watched a bit of tv... but of course we are still in the dresses:
(notice Jack is wearing the blue Cinderella skirt but it is hiked up to his waist so that he could ride his train better... maybe Jason is right that he needs to be around more boys!)

My heart literally melted....

and yours will too....
On Thursday night we told Jack to give Bella a hug and he just looked at her funny. All of a sudden Bella went up and hugged Jack and then the next couple of minutes they would just hug each other and then fall over and laugh... it was one of those times where I was so glad to have twins.
The first minute is a little slow but you won't regret watching the second minute :)
Enjoy!

Mom's new kitchen....

This is for Grandmom.... but for anyone else who is interested, Jason redid Mom's kitchen, it took him 4 or 5 weekends (I can't remember, but to be honest everything is just kind of a blur lately and my memory seems to be shot by the lack of sleep)
Here are some before pics:

The living room wall (on the other side is the kitchen)

Some during pics:

Wall is down ( Mom was able to take a hammer to it and put some holes in the wall... this made her very happy)

all the cabinets arrived:

The after pics (it was all just about done, Mom has since finished some of the painting, and I think is done with all of the organizing)

So there you have it... I think you can get an idea of all that Mom had done. It really is amazing how open everything is now and how great it all looks now that it is done

Calla is just "like daddy"

Calla (my niece) has become good friends with one of the girls I watch. One day I had some Dora the Explorer tattoos and both Calla and Eva got one. They were both really excited and cute about it. Once Calla's tattoo was done she smiled so proudly and said that she is "like Daddy". I had to laugh for two reasons.... 1. It was so cute that she was so proud to look like her daddy and 2. I really want to see Shawn's Dora tattoo

Big Kids...

We got rid of the high chairs ... Bella and Jack now sit in booster seats at the table with us. They use forks and spoons (kinda) and are officially no longer babies. It is kind of neat to have them sit with us, for some reason it makes me feel like more of a family.

Remember how I said that they are "kinda" using forks and spoons? Well Bella does pretty well and really enjoys her fork. If she can not get the food on the fork she will normally pick up the food with her hand so she can more easily put it on the fork. If Jack can not get it he just goes for the easy way and will use his hands. Normally there is no issue with this..... except for the days when they eat applesauce or yogurt.
Here is Jack offering me some of his yogurt

Bella is not a morning person...

I so wish.... I mean I really really really wish Bella would sleep past 6:30... 6:30 is a treat actually as she usually gets up around 6:00.... I hear her talking and I just groan. I LOVE her and all but the girl just doesn't like to sleep but silly me I do.
But to turn it into a positive I do get some one on one time with her which is hard to come by and the one thing that I wish I could have done more of with both of them. Most days she will sit there and there and eat her O's (Cheerios) and watch Ne How Kai Lan (a cartoon) but then there are the days where she is up early but still doesn't want to be and will throw fits for being tired... so what do I do?? I take pictures because I think Grandmom might think it is cute....

even her awesome glasses can not put her in a good mood
