Just turn your head a bit...

I don't know why sometimes I am unable to rotate the pictures so you can actually look at them the right way.  I tried for 2 hours and am done trying to rotate them so it is what it is ....
About a month ago we took the kids out to Rita's for some Italian Ice

They loved it.  Unfortunately we came home and we were all running around and Bella fell.

The poor thing injured the growth plate in her heel.  The good news was that there would be no long term repercussions the bad news was that it is extremely painful.  Didn't stop her from being a princess thoughImage and video hosting by TinyPic
She only had to have it on for 10 days. Here she is in the waiting room - she just loved the huge fish tank

She cried when they took the cast off.... not because she was scared but because it was "so pretty".  This girl just loves pink.
It took about another week or so for her to be able to put full weight on it and now she is doing really really well.
The weekend after she got it off I had signed up for a 5k that benefited the Special Olympics.  I had to carry Bella around the majority of the time she had her cast on and I pinched a nerve in my back.  I couldn't run so the family came with me and we did the mile walk.  The kids were really excited and wanted to do the kids run

It was awesome.  Jason ran with them because we knew Bella would not be able to do the whole thing.  She did not get that far into in when she yelled for help.  Jack ran back and said, "Come on Bella, we can do this together".  He grabbed her hand and tried to help her.  My heart about exploded - I was so proud!
Jason ended up carrying her on his shoulders so they could finish

They both got medals when they were done

Care Bears....

Both Bella and Jack kept asking for toys so Jason and I started them with chores so they could earn them.  Bella saved and saved and finally got her "Rainbow Bear".  She was so so excited and loved it

It came with a free video and Jack and her fell in love with Care Bears.  I was down stairs one day and I remembered that I had the Care Bears that Grandmom made me when I was young.  They were a little dusty and Tenderheart's heart was a very worn.  So I threw them in the wash and sewed a new heart on and they were good as new.  The kids were so excited.  There was no fight - they each knew who got who -

Later on that day Bella and I went to Sam's Club and she was able to bring one toy with her.  Look at who she chose

oh and on a side note - Bella did my nails for the first time.  She insisted that they match hers.  This is how I went to Sam's Club.

I didn't change it because she was just so darn proud of herself :)

I am hoping to have some more free time shortly.  I have 4 weeks left of class and if I get an A on my test this Thursday I don't have to take the final (Right now I have the highest grade in the class)

"Do you know who my best friend is...."

Jack came up to me this morning and said, "Do you know who my best friend is?".  I asked him who it was and he told me, "Grandmom Newman".
That just made me smile.... he might just love her as much as I do.
An oldie but goodie of Jack and his best friend

Some Random pics...

The kids are watching a little TV before we go to Speech and Occupational Therapies so I figured I would just post a couple more pictures.... two posts in two days!  Can you handle the excitement??
The kids were earning stickers for various things around the house and they reached their goals they wanted to go to a hockey game so we went to an AHL (the step below the NHL) game and saw the Hershey Bears play.

While going to get a snack we ran into a Hershey Kiss... I don't think the kids knew what to make of it

They did really well.  I was kinda surprised.  They got a bit annoyed in the third period when the Bears scored 3 goals in a short amount of time because it got REALLY loud.  Overall it was a really fun day.

Grandmom sent stickers up in the last card and Bella wanted to make a hat and decorate them.

We spent the night painting new light switch covers for their room the other night and the kids got really into it.  I was surprised at how well Bella did with it (please don't mind her hair - she played hard that day and she looked like a ragamuffin).

Bella's is a princess castle

and Jack's is a guitar.... he does not have the patience Bella does and he just kind of throws the paint on.  He has fun so as long as he is enjoying himself

The wonders of twins....

On Tuesdays Bella has physical therapy (basically to help her with running - she has difficulty running and keeping up with other children).  Jack usually comes with us but it is a pain trying to keep him entertained while we sit and watch Bella.  Anyway, Jason ended up coming home from work last Tuesday and Jack was going to run to Home Depot with Jason instead of going to therapy with Bella.  We were leaving at the same time and Bella started crying how she would miss "her Jack" and how he is her "best friend".  Jason had to get the car seat out of my car so Jack kept climbing in my car to give Bella hugs and kisses.

He was reassuring her, telling her he loved her and "you can tell me all about therapy when you get home".  She continued to cry so he climbed back in the car and kissed her on her forehead.

It really broke my heart to see how sad they were and also so proud to see how much they loved each other and how Jack really looked out for Bella.
We started to pull out of the garage and Jack and Jason were standing there waiting for us and I could see that Jack started to cry.  While he really wanted to go with Jason it really upsets him with Bella is that upset.  So I asked him if he wanted to go with me and all he could do was nod.  We put his car seat back in my car and we were on our way.  While I was backing out I saw they were reaching across and holding hands.  I stopped and had to take another picture
Image and video hosting by TinyPic
We made it to therapy and they both did awesome.  So I told them that we could stop for a treat on the way home.  We pulled into Friendly's and I don't think the kids knew what to do with themselves.  There were so many toppings to choose from that they had a really, really, REALLY hard time making up their minds.

And of course, Bella had no problem sharing hers with Jack

Last night....

Last night while I was putting the pictures up on the blog the kids were having dessert and then playing on their own.  We had oranges and for some reason I just thought Jack looked so grown up here
Image and video hosting by TinyPic
They pulled out the dress up drawer and Jack will NOT wear the princess dresses because that is too girly but I guess jewelry is fair game
Image and video hosting by TinyPic
Bella dressed up as Belle and asked me to take her picture
Image and video hosting by TinyPic
She wanted to see her picture and was all upset because her tiara was down too far so she asked me to retake it
Image and video hosting by TinyPic
Yup, that is much better baby girl!
Jack is channeling Elton John I think

They keep my days (and nights) interesting!

They are getting so big...

It really is amazing how quickly they are growing.  *sigh*
They are in a pre-school program that is in the high school.  Each semester they are assigned to a new group of students and their first semester just wrapped up.  They had a "program" for the parents and the theme was Red Carpet.  Jack and Bella were each assigned to a high school student and that student had to make a costume for them of their favorite character.  Jack chose Buzz Lightyear and Bella chose Jessie (both from Toy Story).  I think they both looked adorable but Jack's costume was awesome

All of the kids were voted something by their "teachers".  Bella was named "most talkative".  For some people that may not be a big deal but for a child who has been in speech therapy the majority of her life this was just HUGE.  Jack was voted:

This just warmed my heart.  I know I have a loving, sweet boy but to be named most caring, at this age.... just made me SO proud!
They are off of school until February 19th... I have gotten use to having an hour or so to myself a couple mornings a week so I am hoping this will be a fun four weeks!
Earlier in the semester they were learning about being a baker

Could they be any cuter??

We had a "princess" party the one day and Jack could not be a Princess so Spiderman it was  (this is with the little girl I watch)

Nothing else is too exciting.  I say it everytime but there are just not enough hours in a day.... BUT..... I guess I better figure it out because I am going back to school.  I am going to a community college to get my Associate's in Nursing.  Since I already have my Bachelor's I *only* need to take 5 classes and then take 2 1/2 years of clinicals.  It will all be part time in the evening so I can still have the kids.  I am excited to go back and nervous at the same time.  My first class (Human Biology) starts February 7th... so think good thoughts for me!
