They were not screaming so I consider this a success!
On a whim I took the kids to the mall to go see Santa. We were just going to look at him but they seemed fine. We then waited in a 10 minute line and again they seemed fine. I got them out of their stroller when it was our turn to see Santa. We had to wait for the photographer to get the camera ready so we sat there and blew kisses to Santa. Bella was all about sending him kisses. At this point Jack started to try and climb back into the stroller. So we all went up to see Santa and they started to get scared so I had them just stand there. The lady took a picture and about 10 seconds after the picture was taken the crying started and in another 5 seconds Bella was in the fetal position on the floor and Jack was pushing the stroller out of Santa's area. In between the cries they were able to say "yes" when asked if they wanted stickers, so I must not have traumatized them too much.
