The boardwalk!

After we left Grandmom's last weekend we took the kids up to the beach for a bit. They had such a great time there as well.
We played some skee-ball

and then I found the best invention ever for the boardwalk.  They now have these crane machines that you can play until you win.  Of course they cost more but the guarantee of a prize to the parent of 3 year old twins is priceless.  Oh the crying that could have happened if only one got a toy!
Jack said he wanted a blue ball
 
He starts to cheer and jump because he sees he has it

Then this was the best $2 ever spent... he was jumping up and down and hugging it telling it how much he loves it.  There was a lady behind me who had to stop to watch him and commented on how awesome he is.

Bella then decided she wanted a soccer ball.  I thought for sure she would have went for the Hello Kitty dolls but she wanted the white ball

She was excited as well... she just wanted to hug it

 So we went to go turn in the tickets from skee-ball and they got some "wonderful" crap.  Eye patches, slinkies, bracelets, and spider rings all around!

Arggghhhhh!

The kids then enjoyed some ice cream 

and I just had to take a picture of my pizza because between Weight Watchers and living in PA I have not had a great piece of pizza in a long time

Jason then went to go get a drink and the kids and I were watching the ocean.  Jack says, "oh Momma, I just wish I could touch the sand".  I could not argue, we all went on the sand

They were loving playing on the sand and Jack says to me "Oh Momma, I would just love to put my toe in the water".  and then he gave me that look.  I can normally resist that look but not today... we rolled up our pants and headed down to the ocean

The problem is that a wave came faster than I thought... I am such a good mom that I saved Bella...


So I got a little wet!

but we ran away in time 

Later on when we were finally on the way home they were both exhausted

Bella would not take her eye patch off!

Our visit with Grandmom...

We went to visit NJ on Saturday.  It was kind of last minute because of the beautiful weather.  We ended up having an Easter egg hunt at Aunt Jil's and I think everyone had a great time.
The Easter Bunny left a basket and some toys on the front porch


We then went out back to find some eggs


"Hey Grandmom, look what I got!"


Jil was trying to get their attention and make them smile while she took a picture and Jack was very entertained



Apparently Jack has mad frisbee skills and could whip that little thing like it was nobody's business


He would put his whole body into it

"I did it!"

I think Bella is plotting something over there

or just wanting a nap

Jack went to sit next to her

and I asked him to give her a kiss

Bella wanted nothing to do with it

She is bracing herself for it

Finally Jack settled for a hug

I think the kids played Jil out

But they wanted to make sure she was alright (I had to cut them off or they would have spun all day)

We had such a wonderful time!  It was one of the best days that I have had in a long time....
Oh, how I love this woman!

Did you see that??  My two children smiling in one picture, yes, both of them.  At one time.  Amazing!
Seriously though it did bring a tear to my eye because I don't have one of them both smiling and looking nice.
*Side note, I made Bella's dress and Jack's tie.
We also went to see the Easter Bunny and while the kids were nervous at first (I don't blame them, this bunny is a bit scary looking) they warmed up to him and even gave him a hug when they left. 

That just made my morning....

I just got off the phone with my Grandmother and I tell you there is nothing that puts a bigger smile on my face than when I get to speak with her.  I have never met someone so full of love in my life.  I am lucky to have her, our whole family is

Cabin Fever....

I think we are all about ready for Winter to be done with.  We have some really nice days here and there where we have been able to play outside but I think that almost makes it harder as they kids see that it is sunny and want to go outside to play.
We tried to do crafty things inside.  Today we used window crayons for the first time.  They were only kinda messy and the kids had a blast
I could not get them to look at me so I told them to stick their tongue out and they at least looked at me

Aunt Jil had sent some of these little capsules that once in water turn into little sponge animals.  The kids got quite the kick out of them and they got to play in water... it doesn't get much better in their books.

the other morning the kids came upstairs as I was getting ready and Bella decided she was going to dress like me.
Apparently this is what I look like:

Poor Jack wanted a hug so he opened his arms wide and Bella yelled no...

That is okay ... he is still smiling
 

"I'm Ready"

As I was eating breakfast this morning Bella came up to me and told me "I'm ready".  This is what she looked like:

Yup, coat on upside down, hat, and diaper.  She then realized she was missing something and said "SHOES!"

Of course!  The fairy rain boots is what she was missing.
She then jumped up, threw her arms in the  air and yelled "I did it!".



I love my quirky kid!
