On days when we do not have to go anywhere I let the kids choose their clothes. They pick them out most days but days when we go somewhere I give them a choice of a couple of things.
They dressed themselves today and they look like hobos.
I have to include this pic because the other one cut off Bella's shoes and my goodness they just complete the outfit!
and then this one shows off Jack's shirt (that looks like it 2 sizes too big) that I bought him for the fall that he "loves so much" that he "needed" to wear it today. Also because Bella shows the pain of just how horrid it is to have your picture taken by me
The one thing I really love from these pictures is that Bella would not take the picture until Jack held her hand.... at least they are well loved hobos!

The 8:00 hour
Jack was very excited to send some mail and got right into scribbling on the page. He could not wait to put it in the envelope. He then said how he was going to put it behind his back and "prise" (aka surprise) Grandmom with it. He was very upset that he could not give it to her in person. He kept saying "but I love Grandmom" while he was hugging the card
I told him that he could kiss the card and send it in the mail. He looked for the heart to kiss
and it was sealed with a kiss
Bella then came over and wanted me to "wrap it up, wrap it up". It was a drawing she had made while Jack was coloring on the card. Of course she found the card and had to kiss it too.
She was so proud. Look at that smile... of course I get the smile ever with horrible bed head
Running out to mail it
WE DID IT!
***
So I tried to get that great smile of Bella once she was dressed and hair brushed. HA! She was not having it.
Then she was photobombed by an almost naked little boy
Then I got a smile... and of course it was a bit blurry
So I asked her to smile again and this is what happened
Nope she was done!
So that was how we spent the 8:00 hour in our home!

And She Smiles....
Bella is finally getting to the point where she wants me to take a picture of her and she even smiles some of the time :)
They were dressing up this morning and she asked me to take her picture
Of course than Jack needed it too
*****
We are doing well but it just seems like the day goes by so fast. Everyone would always tell me that "time flies" and I never quite believed them. That is until I had kids. I can't believe in just over a month they will be 4. They keep me busy (and happy) and I am very lucky to be their Momma!

The Color Run!
My friend Katie and I decided to do The Color Run today. It is considered to be the "happiest" 5K and I have to agree. We went to Philly early in the morning (we left at 3:30 .... there were over 23,000 runners and we were afraid of the crowds). It worked out great and we beat all the traffic.
All you have to do is wear white. Here is us before:
There are 4 stops along the way where they "splash" you with color. Basically they have volunteers throwing colored corn starch at you. They start off nice at first. You can't see the color on me here but you can see the big cloud of color that I just went through
That was pink, then came blue
Orange
Then yellow was the last color
You finish the 5k and then you go to the final area. Each participant is given a pack of this color. Every 15 minutes the next group of finishers stand around. The DJ (they were playing music through out the event) then counted down and everyone began jumping and throwing their color in the air. This is the one we walked up on
and this was us after the race and our color toss!
It was a crazy crazy fun day! My hair is still pink and purple in place and my skin looks just as good. I already can't wait until next year!
